Scheduled to begin just before the stroke of midnight, the synchronized lighting display is a first of its kind for the Texas city. In a statement obtained by the San Antonio Report, Eduardo Orozco, the president of ISI City Smart Lights, a local urban lighting company, expressed his hope of establishing this as an annual tradition. Lighting up the sky, this display is not just about brightening buildings, but it's an attempt in composing a city's skyline.
ISI City Smart Lights, which has been around since 2005, announced this Monday that they had completed the widespread initiative ahead of New Year’s Eve. They envision the light show as a fusion of smart technology, artistic creativity, and urban progress. Revealed one minute before midnight, each participating building will join in a visual symphony, aiming to reflect San Antonio’s innovative spirit.
"By connecting these iconic landmarks through smart illumination, we are creating a shared visual language for the city, one that reflects the power of intelligent technology, artistic vision, and scalable urban innovation," Orozco told the San Antonio Report. The ambitious project is set to turn a page in the city’s narrative as it strides into the new year with luminous aspirations, bringing together the community in a display of unity and forward-thinking.
