
San Jacinto Park is set to receive a major facelift courtesy of the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. On Friday, local officials will put shovels to soil, marking the start of extensive improvements at the neighborhood park located in Miami, FL. According to a press release by Miami-Dade County, upgrades include a new playground loaded with up-to-date features, a refreshed concrete pathway, and drainage-supporting pavers at all entrances.
The upgrades are expected to include a new play structure with rock-climbing features and educational panels focused on nature. Additional amenities aimed at supporting community gatherings and recreation will include benches, trash receptacles, bike racks, and domino tables.
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and the media, inviting residents to mark the start of a project designed to strengthen the community. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis and Miami-Dade County Parks Director Christina White are scheduled to speak about the anticipated impact of the park improvements. The event will take place at San Jacinto Park, located at 4435 SW 15th Terrace, on Friday at 10 a.m.
