San Marcos Police have arrested 38-year-old Kevin Frimpong on allegations of attempting to kidnap two women in separate incidents, reports indicate from local authorities. According to KXAN, Frimpong was detained Saturday after the first woman reported that he posed as law enforcement in the San Marcos City Cemetery, where he showed handcuffs and tried to restrain her, and following her escape, she quickly alerted the SMPD.

The second reported attempt occurred at a nearby residence, as Frimpong was purportedly "acting suspiciously," which led to another call to authorities. Frimpong, who does not yet have an attorney listed for his response on these charges, was taken into custody and faces two charges of impersonating a public servant and another for attempted kidnapping, as stated by KXAN. His bond was set at $100,000.

San Marcos Police Department, in urging the public to come forward with additional information, said in a social media statement, "Anyone who has encountered someone claiming to be law enforcement under suspicious circumstances or who has information related to this case is asked to contact the San Marcos Police Department," as obtained by KSAT. The department confirmed Frimpong was arrested at 6:54 p.m. on Friday, following the near-incident at the cemetery.
