Authorities in northwest Harris County are intensifying their search for 44-year-old Jose Aaron Henriquez, a man with warrants for his arrest on charges of murder and driving while intoxicated with a child under 15.. The Harris County Sheriff's Office has warned the community that Henriquez, who may be armed, frequents the Aldine/Airline areas and citizens should exercise caution and not to approach him, as stated by Click2Houston.
The investigation, led by the HCSO's Homicide and Major Offenders Unit, linked Henriquez to a homicide on West Canino Drive last month, where a man was found shot following an argument, according to ABC13. The altercation between Henriquez and the victim, identified as friends, preceded the fatal shooting. It's reported that Henriquez had lived at the mobile home, where the incident occurred, on and off before fleeing the scene shortly after the incident.
Henriquez is described as a 5-foot-8 white man, weighing around 200 pounds and known to have two prior convictions for unlawful carry of a weapon. The sheriff's office highlighted the need for the public to stay vigilant, as Henriquez is considered dangerous. Residents have been urged to avoid any contact with him and to report any sightings or information to the HCSO's Homicide unit at 713-274-9100 or through the anonymous tip line at 713-222-TIPS.
