In a testament to community spirit, the City of South Euclid celebrated the success of its annual toy drive, coordinated by the South Euclid Fire Department. According to a social media post from the City, Firefighter Scott Marzano played a pivotal role in gathering more than 10 bins of toys for children ranging from newborns to older kids, all within a three-week period.
The initiative, which demonstrates the city’s ethos of communal support and cooperation, was the result of efforts from various local figures and institutions. Kristen Capadona was responsible for overseeing the collaboration at Hillcrest, while Lt. Ovelgonne facilitated contributions to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Officer DiLillo and the South Euclid Police Department were instrumental in distributing toys throughout the school system. A City of South Euclid's social media post highlighted this collective effort, remarking, "This is what community looks like when we Come Together & Thrive!"
The drive not only symbolizes the generous heart of South Euclid's residents but also showcases the positive outcomes when local services unite for a common cause.
