A Spring ISD school bus was stopped on Monday morning when a man allegedly pointed a weapon at the driver and students, authorities said. No one was hurt, and police searched for the suspect.
Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4 and Spring ISD police responded to the scene and began looking for the man involved. Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said in a social media post that the suspect is a 20-year-old who stopped the bus near 24505 Birnam Wood Blvd. before fleeing in a vehicle. Authorities said the man has been identified and that officers were actively searching for him.

According to the precinct's public update, the man allegedly approached and stopped the bus, pointed a weapon, then took off, leaving students and the driver unharmed but rattled.
"At this time, the suspect has been identified, and deputies are actively searching for him. No injuries were reported, and student safety remains the top priority," the post said, as per Houston Chronicle. The precinct declined to comment further, saying Spring ISD was set to take over the investigation.
