
The City of St. Augustine is set to kick off the application period for its Neighborhood Grant Program (NGP) come the new year, opening its doors to neighborhood non-profits looking to bolster their communities with a bit of a financial boost, up to the tune of $3,000. According to the City of St. Augustine official statements, the acceptance period launches on January 1, 2026, and will remain open until January 15, 2026, wrapping up promptly at 5:00 pm.
The NGP rolls out funds paired with technical assistance from City staff, it's a move to strengthen the hands of neighborhood organizations, allowing them to chart and follow through on small-scale projects that bring enhancement and enrichment to local communities. Applications for these grants are wide open via several avenues – one could shoot an email to [email protected], mail them directly, or walk into the city's Community Services office and hand-deliver them to the address listed, whether it's for beautification projects, community gatherings or any variety of neighborhood initiatives that could benefit from a little fiscal padding.
