
Detective Brett Utley of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office was recognized by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice for his work in youth mentorship and community engagement. The recognition highlights his efforts to support young people and contribute to programs that foster constructive relationships between youth and law enforcement.
According to a Facebook post, Utley actively participates in the Friends in Blue initiative within DJJ Residential Services and serves on the Deep Creek Youth Academy Community Advisory Board.
He visits the academy monthly, engaging with youth, providing guidance, and supporting their personal development, establishing himself as a trusted mentor.
