St. Peters will host its 36th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony this Friday. According to the City of St. Peters, the event, traditionally held outdoors, will take place indoors at City Hall due to cold weather. The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of seasonal activities for the community.
Attendees can expect a group countdown with the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. Santa Claus will also be present, as per the city’s release. Musical performances will include The Childbloom Guitar Program of St. Charles County and The Butch Wax Singers, who will lead caroling during the event.
After the countdown, The Butch Wax and The Hollywoods will perform a “Holiday Hop” concert, as reported by the City of St. Peters. Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will be on site, offering hot beverages such as coffee and hot chocolate for purchase.
