
A high-speed police chase in West Allis early Sunday morning came to a violent end when a stolen vehicle crashed near 80th and Morgan. TMJ4 Web Staff reported that according to West Allis police, three suspects were taken into custody following the pursuit of the vehicle, which was believed to be involved in a recent armed robbery.
The incident began when West Allis officers located the vehicle, reported stolen from Milwaukee. The police then were able to apprehend all three individuals after they attempted to flee the crash site on foot. This event resulted in no serious injuries, as detailed by the West Allis Police Department, as per TMJ4.
The aftermath of the pursuit left the neighborhood shaken, with debris scattered across the crash site. CBS 58 noted that the vehicle not only crashed but also impacted another vehicle, causing substantial damage. Neighbors described the unsettling noise of the collisions and shared their personal accounts of the chaotic scene. "I heard a large bang," Keith Brenaman told FOX6, recounting the moments he witnessed one of the vehicles overturned and smoking.
As the investigation continues, recovered evidence includes a gun linked to the armed robbery. "A couple of guys started jumping out. [They] started running towards my door, and so I slammed it shut," Debbie Ulbing recounted to FOX6, describing the suspects' attempt to evade police. The West Allis Police Department confirmed that all three suspects are now under arrest, and it remains continuously invested in further examining the details of the incident.
