Minutes after the park shooting, officers were sent to the 1700 block of Handley Drive near Gary Street. There, they found a person inside a parked vehicle who was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead, per DFW Scanner. Detectives said another person who had been in that vehicle ran from the scene on foot and was later located inside a nearby home. Clothing was reported scattered in the street, and an abandoned vehicle outside the residence was towed as part of the investigation.

Fort Worth police and SWAT officers carried out follow-up actions at a home near the second scene, and aerial footage showed officers using a drone to make entry as detectives processed evidence, according to WFAA.
