
The suspect in the double homicide on Herron Island has been apprehended by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. Following yesterday's incident, the 63-year-old male was tracked down to a motel in Kent, Washington. According to the Sheriff's Office's social media post, the suspect wasn't cooperative when authorities arrived on the scene, prompting the involvement of a SWAT team.
During the operation, with the room having been breached by SWAT, the suspect was found to have a self-inflicted wound. Located within the confines of a small motel room, the suspect was then taken into custody, as reported by the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. Currently, he is being treated at a local hospital, and his condition has been described as serious.
