
Last Saturday, a mobile home in West Augustine caught fire, prompting a response from local fire services. St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported on a Facebook post that firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of Francis Street around 4:15 p.m. after a structure fire was reported. Upon arrival, Engine Co. 14 found the mobile home actively burning and began firefighting operations.
Fire crews conducted a primary search to ensure no individuals were inside the mobile home. According to St. Johns County Fire Rescue, the fire was brought under control, and firefighters carried out overhaul operations.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The response also involved mutual aid from the City of St. Augustine Fire Department.
