Chris Katsares is stepping back into the Tampa fold as a National Sales Manager, having racked up nearly eight years at this very center before taking his talents to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Landing back where he started, Katsares is now tasked with nurturing relationships with event planners in the Northeast, Southeast, and local markets, according to a report from Tampa's official site. His past ventures in hotel sales and hospitality are expected to come in handy, ensuring the convention center remains a top choice for a variety of waterfront events.
In a complementary move, Melissa Pray is the new Fiscal Manager, bringing with her a 15-year track record in government finance, complete with budgeting and operational acumen. Serving with distinction across various municipal roles that include a Manager of Budget & Analytics for Pinellas County, Pray's appointment is viewed as a critical step towards tightening the center's financial reins.
