The Tampa Convention Center has been named "Best of the Best" Convention Center by ConventionSouth, earning the Readers' Choice award with the highest number of votes. The recognition underscores Tampa’s appeal as a destination for events, from corporate conventions to association meetings. David Ingram, Executive Director of the Tampa Convention Center, credited the award to "the hard work and commitment of our entire team and valued service partners," according to the City of Tampa.
This marks Tampa Convention Center’s eighth major award this year, including honors such as the Northstar Stella Award for Best Convention Center in the Southeast U.S., a Smart Stars Award, Tampa’s Best Awards, and the International Explorer Awards.
The Tampa Convention Center hosted 87 events this year, attracting over 280,000 attendees. As per the city's release, these events generated an estimated economic impact of $147,136,347 for the local community, benefiting hospitality jobs and supporting the city’s broader meetings and events sector.
