In the holiday spirit, the Tampa Police Department traded their uniforms for elf hats, partnering with the Tampa Police Athletic League to take more than 30 local teenagers on a festive shopping trip to Target. The event, documented by the department's recent social media post, highlighted the officers' effort to foster community relationships and bring some holiday cheer to those who may need it most.
During this special spree, each participant was provided a gift card with the instruct to not only choose something for themselves but also to pick one meaningful gift to give to someone special. "The smiles, laughter, and moments shared made it a day to remember," the Tampa Police Department said on Facebook.
