Oakley Avenue's recent history
The killing comes after another high-profile shooting on South Oakley in November 2024, when a man was shot to death, and a baby was grazed by gunfire, according to ABC7 Chicago. In that case, detectives also called on the public for help and reported no immediate arrests.
Authorities continue to investigate Sunday’s homicide and have renewed their plea for anyone with information or video from the area to contact investigators. This story will be updated as officials release more details.
