
A 17-year-old was shot and killed in an Orange County neighborhood, adding to a string of teenage shootings in the Central Florida area since Christmas Eve. According to WFTV, the teenager identified as Lil’raylin Harrison was shot around 9 p.m. on 26th Street, near Rio Grande Avenue. Deputies have not yet apprehended any suspects, nor have they released a possible motive for the shooting.
The victim was transported to a hospital but unfortunately died due to the injuries sustained. This incident marks the fourth deadly shooting of a teen in the region since the holiday weekend. Adding to the grim tally, a 13-year-old was killed on Christmas Day, and a 15-year-old was arrested in relation to that case, charged with manslaughter. The WESH report confirms that the 17-year-old, Lil'raylin Harrison, was found upon deputies' arrival at the scene with a gunshot wound.
Authorities continue their plea for public assistance in these matters, asking anyone with information about any of the recent shootings to come forward.
