In a significant stride for medical cannabis access in Texas, Texas Original has officially unveiled the largest facility in the state dedicated to the plant's therapeutic use. Occupying a hefty 75,000 square foot space in Bastrop, the upgraded headquarters signals a monumental leap from the previous 7,700 square foot setup.

The Texas Original facility features a hybrid greenhouse, home to the state’s first sun-grown medical cannabis, as reported by CBS Austin. It also includes advanced manufacturing and testing labs, plus improved packaging and delivery systems to expand patient access across Texas.

Driven by the recent expansion of eligible medical conditions under House Bill 46, Texas Original is stepping up to meet the increased demand. "This facility represents the future of medical cannabis in Texas," Nico Richardson, the CEO of Texas Original, stated in an interview with CBS Austin. Richardson confirmed the facilities' enhanced capabilities to serve a broader patient base with consistent quality.

In addition, Texas Original has repurposed its former Bastrop headquarters as a new satellite location just south of Austin, per details outlined by Cannabis Business Times. The strategic positioning of satellite sites enables the company to offer same-day pickups, offering patients a faster and more convenient way to obtain their medicine. This satellite joins over a dozen other Texas Original pickup spots scattered across the state, further solidifying their commitment to patient care.

Texas Original's push for expanded infrastructure underscores a conscientious approach to scaling operations while ensuring the supply chain of high-quality medical cannabis remains uninterrupted for Texans in need. The collective efforts of the expanded Bastrop headquarters and the conversion of the former facility into a satellite location are pivotal milestones in the enterprise's mission to cultivate and deliver life-changing medicine to patients throughout Texas.
