The intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas will be fully closed from December 14 through December 19 for the removal of the temporary bridge used for the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix. This work takes place every year after the Grand Prix, which happens the weekend before Thanksgiving, as per News3LV.
Motorists using Flamingo Road will face detours as the intersection remains closed, with alternatives like Tropicana Avenue, Harmon, and Sands Avenues recommended. "Those who routinely use Flamingo for east-west travel will have to seek out alternative routes while the intersection is closed," as reported by Las Vegas Review Journal.
Lane reductions along Flamingo Road and Koval Lane will continue through December 30 to facilitate dismantling of F1-related structures, including the Bellagio Fountain Club and track lighting. Commuters can stay updated on road conditions by signing up for text alerts with "F1LV" to 31996, while officials consider extending the Formula One Las Vegas partnership beyond 2027, as stated by News3LV.
