
An incident occurred outside a Bronx subway station yesterday involving two men who were attacked with a machete. PIX11 reported that the event took place around 4:40 p.m. near the West Farms Square–East Tremont Avenue station. Police responded to a 911 call reporting the assault and found that the suspect had approached the two brothers and struck them with the weapon.
The 44-year-old sustained cuts to his wrist, and the 32-year-old suffered facial injuries. During the incident, the younger brother’s cellphone was reportedly stolen. An investigation has been launched, but no arrests have been made. A separate report from the New York Post states that both men were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and are currently in stable condition.
Authorities continue to search for the suspect, combing the area for any leads that could assist in identifying and apprehending the individual responsible. The NYPD has not released a description of the suspect, and the motive for the attack has not been determined.
