
A violent confrontation in Brooklyn Park has led to the arrest of two men on charges of first-degree assault. According to a police press release, the Anne Arundel County Police Department reported that officers responded to a residence on the 4000 block of Belle Grove Road after receiving a call about an assault last Saturday.
During an altercation at approximately 11:40 p.m. between two roommates and a 57-year-old man, it escalated, resulting in one of the suspects, Travis Kice, restraining the victim while the other, Michael Steven Haynes Jr., reportedly attacked him with a knife. Transported to an area hospital, the victim suffered a stab wound to his torso.
The responding officers to the scene quickly took both Kice, a 44-year-old from Brooklyn Park, and Haynes Jr., who is 50, into custody. The two men face charges stemming from the incident. As noted in the press release, the investigation is ongoing, and further details surrounding the motive or the condition of the victim have not been disclosed.
