
Two St. Louis men have been charged following a fatal shooting in the Dutchtown neighborhood, according to KSDK. Solomon Rasas, 20, and Kavion Couch, 19, face first-degree murder charges in connection with the death of 22-year-old Brayan Aparicio, who was shot while sitting in a vehicle with his girlfriend on the night of November 8.
Police reported that the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m., with Aparicio’s girlfriend driving to a nearby gas station to seek assistance, as per FOX 2 Now. Responding officers found Aparicio unconscious and transported him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators used MetroBus surveillance footage to identify Kavion Couch and Solomon Rasas, who were seen fleeing the scene. Both suspects were also placed at the location through cell phone data and remain in custody at the St. Louis City Justice Center without bond.
The circumstances of Aparicio’s death are under ongoing investigation. Prosecutors have charged Solomon Rasas and Kavion Couch with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon. In addition, Rasas faces a charge of resisting arrest after reportedly attempting to flee from police officers on foot.
