
The Midlothian Police Department in Texas has reported the arrest of two suspects involved in a serious crime concerning a child. According to a social media post by the department, on December 17, officers were dispatched to address a report of a potential sexual assault involving a child.
Following an initial investigation, 30-year-old Madison Jones was arrested on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child under Texas Penal Code §22.021 and faces multiple additional related offenses, a subsequent thorough investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division brought to light the involvement of another suspect, Zackery Dondlinger, a 37-year-old man from Happy, Texas; on December 23, Dondlinger was arrested in Loving County, Texas, charged with Sexual Performance by a Child as per Texas Penal Code §43.25 and is now awaiting arraignment at the Winkler County Detention Center.
Both arrests involved coordination across various Texas law enforcement agencies. The Midlothian Police Department acknowledged assistance from multiple agencies, appreciating the Ellis County Children’s Advocacy Center, Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Office of the Attorney General- Fugitive Apprehension Unit, and the Loving County Sheriff’s Office for their invaluable support throughout the investigation and ultimately the apprehension of Dondlinger.
The case against Jones and Dondlinger is still considered open and active, with detectives urging anyone who might possess additional information to come forward to contribute to their ongoing investigation.
