Both vehicles involved were perilously near an embankment by the highway post-collision. On arrival, authorities discovered one driver standing outside her car, the other, had to be extracted, by the San Antonio Fire Department. As initial reports suggest, both drivers are women in their 20s, and an officer at the scene mentioned that one of the women was unconscious, according to Fox San Antonio.
The police took both drivers to the hospital, though the specifics of their conditions were not detailed. The San Antonio Police Department has detained the woman found outside of her vehicle after determining she was intoxicated though, as of the latest updates, had not yet been booked.
