University City residents may need to adjust their calendars as the municipal leaf collection and street sweeping schedules have recently been updated. As confirmed by a social media post from the official City of University City, Missouri, the process has been delayed due to recent weather conditions. Now, updated dates have been provided for each section of the community, with tentative plans for crews to start collections and sweeping operations in the East Area on December 11 and December 15 respectively.
Efficiency is paramount, and the city is asking residents to help the cleanup efforts by raking leaves neatly to the curbline. This request was shared with the hope to ensure that the crews can quickly, and more importantly, safely work through the areas. As the post on Facebook by the City of University City, Missouri notes, "Please rake leaves neatly to the curbline to help crews work quickly and safely."
The Central Area can expect leaf collection to begin on December 15, followed by street sweeping starting on December 22. In the West Area, crews are slated to begin their work on December 18 for leaf collection and December 29 for street sweeping. All residents should be aware that these dates are subject to change should further weather incidents arise.
For those who may still require assistance after the scheduled date for their area, the city has provided a point of contact. Residents are encouraged to reach out to Hendel Lawn Service, detailed in the official post: "Need help after your area’s scheduled date? Contact Hendel Lawn Service at (314) 882-5814," as per the City of University City, Missouri.
