Early Tuesday around 4 a.m., a vehicle was found submerged in Jarbo Bayou in Galveston County. Clear Lake Shores police blocked Marina Bay Drive while a Galveston County Sheriff’s Office dive team searched the 55-degree waters starting around 3:30 a.m. and recovered the vehicle about an hour later with a heavy-lift tow truck, as per KHOU.
"Clear Lake Shores police received a call around midnight about a crash near FM 2094 and Marina Bay Blvd.," after tire tracks were found in the median near the bridges, indicating the location of the accident. Recovery teams removed the vehicle from Jarbo Bayou, and a body was found, though the identity of the deceased remains unknown, as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
The circumstances that caused the driver to leave the road and enter the water are still under investigation. The community awaits answers as officials continue to examine the tragic incident.
