The season of giving is in full swing in Wake Forest, where the Wake Forest Police Department has continued its enduring tradition of lending a hand to families in need. In collaboration with the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, the department has successfully carried out its Annual Turkey Giveaway, now a staple event that has been nurturing community ties since 2007. Over 900 turkeys found their way to local tables this year, anchoring the spirit of Thanksgiving for many.
In a recent social media post, the Wake Forest Police Department expressed its gratitude to those who made the event possible, citing the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, Town of Wake Forest Public Works, and, the dedicated community donors. Since its inception, the event has put over 15,000 turkeys on the tables of families in the area, a testament to the sustained commitment of all involved.
The social media post shared the Wake Forest Police Department enthusiasm: "Special thanks to Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, Town of Wake Forest Public Works, and the generous Wake Forest community donors who helped make this special event possible!"
