A Wakefield man, Daniel Loughman, has pleaded guilty to conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Loughman, also known as "Swiss," was connected to the Unknown Bikers Motorcycle Club, a group involved in large-scale drug trafficking in Eastern Massachusetts, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
Law enforcement began investigating the drug operation in October 2023 and identified Loughman as a key trafficker. His activities spanned Eastern Massachusetts, distributing methamphetamine to a network of customers. Controlled purchases and other investigative actions also implicated James Snow, Danielle Steenbruggen, and James Adams, though Adams’s involvement has not yet been confirmed in court. Around 10 pounds of methamphetamine and four firearms were seized during the investigation.
Loughman’s co-conspirators have also faced legal consequences. Danielle Steenbruggen pleaded guilty in August 2025 and was sentenced to 93 months in prison by November. James Snow pleaded guilty on December 1 and is scheduled for sentencing on March 5, 2026. The investigation involved coordination between the ATF, Homeland Security Investigations, the DEA, and local police departments.
Loughman faces a prison sentence ranging from 10 years to life, up to five years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $10 million. U.S. District Court Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV has scheduled his sentencing for March 10. The remaining defendant in the case has not yet gone to trial.
