
A tragic incident at an Airbnb in Osceola County has led to the arrest of a father after his toddler daughter drowned in a hot tub. ClickOrlando reported that the Osceola County Sheriff's Office responded to an emergency call at approximately 3:30 a.m. last Saturday, where deputies discovered the child unresponsive.
The 20-month-old was rushed to AdventHealth Celebration but was pronounced dead shortly after 4:30 a.m. The father, identified as 30-year-old Reynard Tyrone Hough, told investigators he fell asleep in the hot tub while holding his daughter. He woke to the nightmare of his life; his daughter had become unresponsive in his arms. According to the sheriff's office, Hough and his family had traveled from Washington, D.C., to stay in the area.
Hough now faces serious charges, including child neglect with great bodily harm. Following the initial arrest, an aggravated manslaughter of a child charge was subsequently added. He remains in custody as per deputies' reports.
Details about the family's stay and the events leading up to the incident were further reported by FOX 35 Orlando. The Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Hough was staying at the Kissimmee property with his family when the tragic events unfolded.
