This past weekend the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department celebrated the 15th annual Shop with a Sheriff at the Sussex Meijer. For the last 15 years, this event has made the holiday season brighter for many children and their families. Each year, we work with Waukesha County Health and Human Services to select children who reside in Waukesha County, and every child is paired with a deputy or corrections officer to shop for holiday gifts for themselves and their family members, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department Facebook page.
The Sussex Meijer staff did an amazing job hosting this event for the fourth year in a row! Meijer provided the gift-wrapping materials and refreshments, along with a generous donation toward the children’s purchases, as reported by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department thanked all the deputies, corrections officers, and volunteers who made this event possible. They also thanked Meijer and their donors for their continued support.
