A 37-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday after being shot in the arm on the 800 block of Elvira Street on San Antonio’s West Side. Police said the injury was not life-threatening and are investigating the shooting.
San Antonio police responded to a shooting on the 800 block of Elvira Street and found a 37-year-old man at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the investigation is ongoing, KENS5 reports.
Police Asking For Tips
San Antonio police urged neighbors to come forward with anything they saw or heard and said tips can be submitted through the department’s non-emergency line or through Crime Stoppers. West Side Has Seen Similar Incidents
The area around Elvira Street has seen multiple violent incidents this year, underscoring recurring safety concerns on the West Side. Hoodline covered a June drive-by that left a man wounded, and KSAT reported an October stabbing on the 1600 block of Elvira Street.
Detectives told KENS5 the investigation is ongoing. Officials have not released a suspect description and ask anyone with information to contact SAPD.
