The incident, which occurred on December 28th around 6:30 p.m. at the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, left the young player seriously injured and in need of hospital treatment, according to a statement by WUSA9.
Martin fled the scene before authorities could arrive, but later turned himself in on December 30th. He has since been charged with malicious wounding and is presently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
