The streets of White Settlement were lined with the glow of festivity and communal warmth this past Saturday night as residents gathered to witness the "Light the Night" Christmas Parade. A post on the White Settlement Police Department's Facebook page expressed gratitude toward the community, which turned out in strength to enjoy this annual celebration. "Thank you to our community for coming out on Saturday night to enjoy the "Light the Night" Christmas Parade," the post read, acknowledging the involvement of the local heroes in blue who had a blast engaging with parade-goers.
The police department members, who were throwing blue glow sticks and candy while driving in the parade, took pleasure in ensuring the safety of the event by blocking intersections. They were also a key part of the annual tree lighting ceremony. The event, powered by the joint efforts of the City Council, City Manager's Office, and the Parks and Recreation Department, was heralded as a wonderful occasion. According to the White Settlement Police Department, a hearty "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" was extended to all.
Adding a visual touch to the city's festive spirits were various floats and marching bands/drill teams, highlights of which could be found on the city's Facebook page.
