The White Settlement Police Department has something to celebrate as its Chief of Staff, Megan Batchelder, graduates from a prestigious municipal finance program. According to a social media post from the White Settlement Police Department, Police Chief Christopher Cook and the entire team are extending congratulations to Batchelder for her achievement at the North Central Texas Council of Governments' program.
The endeavor, focused on Municipal Finance for Non-Finance Executives, spanned three months and was facilitated by industry experts, aiming to mold professionals into local government leaders. In the words of Todd Little, Executive Director of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, per the White Settlement Police Department, "We believe it will be individuals like Megan that will help keep our professionals at the forefront of municipal leadership in the DFW Region and across Texas." He also highlighted the City of White Settlement's commitment to employee development.
Megan Batchelder's role at the WSPD includes overseeing the WEST COMM Dispatch Center as well as their Property, Evidence, & Records Unit. The training program she completed represents the eighth cycle of an initiative designed to enhance the capabilities and understanding of current and prospective public finance officials. Participants like Batchelder were selected through an application and referral process, joining a cohort of 22 individuals.
