Last Saturday, a 12-year-old boy was arrested in Seattle following an aggressive robbery in the Central District. The suspect allegedly used a screwdriver to attack a 43-year-old woman and steal her handbag near 23rd Avenue South and South Jackson Street, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Police responded around 6:50 p.m. at the Amazon Fresh store and found the victim with facial injuries, including a cut on her left cheek. The boy reportedly assaulted her multiple times and rifled through her belongings in the parking garage before fleeing, as reported by the Seattle Police Department.
Officers found a young suspect wearing a “hot pink ski mask” and chased him on foot before locating his home. Police obtained a search warrant, detained the suspect at his family residence, and recovered a screwdriver linked to the case. The suspect was booked into the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center, and robbery detectives are handling the investigation, as stated by the Seattle Police Department.
