
A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a shooting in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood last Friday night. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the incident took place near 3rd Avenue and Wall Street following a disturbance after an event had ended.
Seattle police received reports of gunfire around 11:37 p.m. Upon arrival near 3rd Avenue and Wall Street, officers found a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was treated at the scene before being transported to Harborview Medical Center, where she remains in serious condition. The suspect has not been apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
Detectives from the Seattle Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) are investigating the shooting, working to determine the events leading up to the incident. Officials say the shooter fired multiple rounds near the venue, striking both the building and the victim.
