The Alhambra Police Department took to their Facebook page to announce the arrest of suspects linked to a series of robberies, including a smoke shop heist and a follow-home robbery. According to the APD, detectives were able to connect the dots between the two incidents through the suspect vehicle, which was ultimately located in Huntington Park, California.
Upon executing search warrants at residences associated with the suspects, the detectives stumbled upon a variety of incriminating items. They recovered stolen license plates and multiple cellphones, along with a bag of equipment designed for programming key fobs. The evidence pointed toward the suspects' involvement in additional criminal activities, including theft of multiple stolen vehicles.
The suspects in custody have a known history of illicit engagement, as they were involved in previous cases, including the theft of catalytic converters, a pharmacy burglary resulting in the flight with pharmaceuticals, and the robbery of a cash register at a Winchell's. With the array of charges pending against them, their streak of criminal activity has come to a halt thanks to the efforts of the APD.
"Ultimately, the suspects were taken into custody for several charges," stated the Alhambra Police Department in their announcement. These charges include prior involvement in cases from other cities as well. The successful recovery of multiple stolen vehicles and other stolen items marks a significant win for the local authorities in the ongoing battle against property crimes in the region.
