After a year-and-a-half-long search, Chester County authorities confirmed the arrest of Carlton Wallace Dixon, the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred on June 17, 2024, at Ramsey Grove Apartments on Flint Street. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office's Facebook page reported that Dixon, wanted for murder and related firearm offenses, was arrested in Mooresville, North Carolina, by the Mooresville Police Department.
Authorities are now working on extraditing Dixon to South Carolina. He faces charges including murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted person.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with North Carolina officials to complete the extradition and bring Dixon to trial.
