
An urgent Amber Alert has been issued for two children, believed to be abducted from Santa Clarita. According to the KTLA, the California Highway Patrol announced early Thursday that 12-year-old Romeo Ordonez and his 9-year-old sister Sofia Ordonez were last seen on Wednesday around 1:30 p.m.
Reported by FOXLA, officials are searching for a 2018 black Kia Sorento with the California license plate number 8BLRF237, as part of the Amber Alert. The children are believed to be with 45-year-old Cristal Ordonez, though her connection to them remains undisclosed by the authorities. Driving this vehicle, Cristal is described as being 5 feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
Details are still emerging, but ABC7 reports that the children, along with Cristal Ordonez, were last spotted near River Circle and Soledad Canyon Road. Romeo is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 190 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, and his sister Sofia stands 4 feet tall, weighs roughly 70 pounds, also with brown hair and eyes.
The situation's urgency cannot be understated, as time is a critical factor in the search. An Amber Alert encompasses Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties, disseminated via social media by the CHP - Alerts Twitter account.
