Last night, the Town of Apex Fire Department was called into action to extinguish a vehicle fire on US 1 northbound, just before Tryon Road. The Town of Apex Fire Department's social media post provided a brief on the incident, confirming that Apex Fire's response units E34, L34, BC6, and Cary Fire Department’s E6 attended the scene with assistance from the Cary Police Department.
In their social media communication, the Town of Apex Fire Department went beyond the mere reporting of their response, extending advice to the community on how to reduce the chances of such emergencies occurring. The message was clear: "While this is just one call we ran last night, there are many ways to help prevent crashes; staying focused, driving sober, wearing your seatbelt, and making safe choices every time you get behind the wheel," underscoring their commitment not just to response, but to prevention as well.
