A 24-year-old Apopka man, Marquail Travonte Jennings, has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash near Disney World that left a 1-month-old baby injured. As reported by ClickOrlando, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the incident, which took place around 7:30 p.m. Saturday on the entrance ramp for Epcot Center Drive to Interstate 4 east. It is reported that a white Mercedes attempted to pass another vehicle on the right shoulder before colliding with it.

The owner of the struck vehicle was able to provide dashboard camera footage to the authorities, showing the Mercedes's attempt to merge and the subsequent collision. Following the crash, an object, reportedly a plastic cup filled with liquid, was allegedly thrown from the Mercedes, which splashed the passenger of the victim's car. The victim described the driver as a black male with dreadlocks, a description that ultimately matched Jennings. It was later discovered that the vehicle was traced to an address in Apopka, where troopers located the car on Sunday near Bear Lake Road and McNeil Road.

When confronted, Jennings claimed that it was the victim who had left the scene and thrown the cup. However, he was later informed about the existence of dashboard camera footage capturing the incident. The authorities noted that there was damage to the Mercedes consistent with the collision. The baby, who had been in the back seat of the victim's car, was subsequently transported to AdventHealth Celebration Hospital, though the extent of the child's injuries has not been detailed, according to FOX 35 Orlando.

Jennings now faces charges that include felony hit-and-run with injury, battery, and multiple counts of assault. He was arrested and taken to Orange County Jail without incident.
