For locals in need of document handling services, Arlington Public Library has recently expanded its offerings. Now, the community can access scan, copy, and fax services across all library locations throughout the city. In a service announcement provided to the masses, the library detailed the range of available services, ensuring that both basic and digital document needs can be readily met.
On the ground, each library branch boasts an all-in-one machine capable of seamlessly handling printing, copying, and scanning tasks. The flagship Downtown Library steps up the convenience with three machines spread across its floors. The costs are kept straightforward, with black and white copies pegged at 15 cents per page and color at 50 cents. When it comes to duplex printing, each side of a page is billed, bringing a double-sided black and white print to a total of 30 cents and a color print to $1, as informed by the Arlington Public Library Communications.
Digital scanning services are also affordable at 5 cents per page, with handy options to either email the scans or save them directly onto a thumb drive. However, for those requiring to transmit documents over a fax line, the library only covers domestic faxing, charging $1 per page. It should be noted that international faxing remains beyond the scope of services currently offered.
The payment methods cater to a range of preferences, accepting cash, credit, or AAM payments, though it's important to highlight a small catch. There is a minimum charge set at $3 for those opting to use their credit card for transactions. Imbued with an eye for the digital era, the library doesn't stop merely at scan, copy, or fax services. They further provide mobile printing, free Wi-Fi, public computer access, and more than 100 professional-level databases to aid every inquiry or research pursuit.
