Authorities are turning to the public for aid in the search for Ramon Gonzalez Almager, an 82-year-old Hispanic male reported missing since January 18. According to the City of Austin, Almager was last seen on the 600 block of Radam Lane at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Gonzalez Almager, who is described as having gray hair and brown eyes and stands at 5'10" tall, weighing around 180 lbs., was seen wearing a brown jacket, a red shirt, and blue jeans when he went missing, as detailed by the City of Austin. Notably, he walks with a limp, uses a cane to better get around, and communicates primarily in Spanish. Due to his health conditions, the APD detectives are expressing concern for his immediate welfare.
The call for assistance comes with urgency; if you happen to see Gonzalez Almager, the police are asking you to please contact 9-1-1 immediately. The Missing Persons Unit of the APD has emphasized that public participation may be crucial in ensuring the safe return of Gonzalez Almager.
