Nicholas Wieber, 28, from Bay Shore, was indicted for kidnapping an 11-year-old girl from Queens. Authorities said he contacted the girl on Discord in early December 2025 and had sexual conversations with her. On December 12, 2025, the girl did not return from school, and her mother contacted police. The next day, officers found the child at Wieber’s Bay Shore home, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
On Friday, Wieber was arraigned before Supreme Court Justice Richard Ambro on charges including First- and Second-Degree Kidnapping and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney said, "Their vigilance, skill, and determination ensured the child was found safely and returned to her parents without delay," as reported by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Wieber, represented by Larry Flowers, Esq., faces life in prison if convicted on the top count. Bail was set at $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2.5 million partially secured bond. The next court date is February 17. The case is being handled by Assistant District Attorney Kirsten Reilly and investigators including Officer Robert Saporito and Detective Glenys Gonzalez, as stated by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
