A burglary suspect has been nabbed by the Burien Police Department following a break-in at a local CVS, a post on the department's social media page reveals. The incident unfolded earlier this week when deputies responded to reports of a burglary in progress at the Burien CVS. The suspect had fled the scene before deputies arrived, but evidence of forced entry and interior damage was visible.
A K9 unit assisted in the search, but a deputy conducting an area check ultimately spotted a man matching the suspect’s description from security footage. After a brief foot chase, the suspect surrendered.
"After a short jog, the suspect ultimately became tired and surrendered," the Burien Police Department stated. The male was taken into custody and is now facing charges for commercial burglary. He was booked into King County Jail, with charges being filed with the Prosecutor's Office.
