
Burlington authorities have made an arrest in connection with a recent shooting incident that has rattled the local community. The City of Burlington Police Department announced on social media that 21-year-old Deaundra Collins Jr. was taken into custody on January 27, 2026, for his alleged role in a shooting that took place on the 500 block of York Street on January 20.
According to the City of Burlington Police Department's social media post, the shooting involved multiple gunshots that damaged a vehicle and a residence; fortunately, no injuries were reported. The investigation, a joint effort between Burlington detectives and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, led to the identification of Collins as the suspect.
Collins now faces a string of charges, including Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Handgun Without a Permit, and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Firearm. He is currently being held at the Burlington County Jail while he awaits court proceedings.
