Pearland’s Mediterranean dining options have expanded with the opening of a new Cafe Petra location on the Shadow Creek retail strip. The Greek-Lebanese spot offers suburban diners east of Houston another destination for shawarma, gyros, and shareable mezze.
The Shadow Creek location, at 11601 Shadow Creek Parkway, Suite 119, opened in early January, staff told Community Impact. The restaurant offers traditional Greek and Lebanese dishes, according to a brief write-up listing its address.
The menu at the new location features hummus, baba ganoush, gyros, falafel, and moussaka, according to Cafe Petra’s website. The site also provides operating hours, a phone number for reservations, and information for customers interested in catering.
This is not Cafe Petra’s first location in Pearland. The chain opened its first area restaurant at 8498 S. Sam Houston Parkway E. in 2023, after identifying steady demand for catering in the area, the Houston Chronicle reported. Owner Monsour Hijazi told the paper that the family chose the neighborhood due to consistent customer interest.
