A Charlotte arcade bar was burglarized over the weekend, with the incident captured on camera. Surveillance footage from Super Abari Game Bar on Seigle Avenue, posted to Instagram, shows a man breaking in by kicking the door and throwing a rock. The break-in happened during a winter storm sweeping across the Carolinas, according to WCNC Charlotte.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, the suspect was recorded going behind the bar and taking multiple bottles of liquor. The incident resembles a June 2024 burglary, and bar officials told Queen City News they are "pretty sure it’s the same offender," based on similarities in the theft and the suspect’s appearance.
To help catch the suspect, the bar is asking Belmont neighborhood residents with Ring or similar cameras to review their footage from Sunday night. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reviewed the break-in, according to WSOCTV.
The recurring break-ins have raised concerns about local business security. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have not made any arrests. Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact authorities to help prevent future incidents.
