Charlotte saw a peaceful procession today as Buddhist monks participated in their Walk for Peace. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department provided a secure escort to ensure the event proceeded safely.
The CMPD shared on social media, “We were honored to welcome the Buddhist monks today as they pass through our community on their Walk for Peace.” The monks aim to promote a message of nonviolence and unity as they travel through the city.
